When you hear the term locs or dreadlocs, you may not be sure what that means exactly. The term locs, dreads or dreadlocs can essentially be used interchangeably. However, there is often a negative connotation with terms using "dread," so for that reason the term "locs" will be used.
What are locs? Locs are matted sections of hair that can be formed in a variety of ways. Once locs are started, they can be maintained through various methods as the locs endure several phases to reach full maturity.
